WETHERSFIELD PARISH COUNCIL

REPRESENTING WETHERSFIELD, BLACKMORE END & BEAZLEY END

 

Members of the Council are hereby summoned to attend a meeting to be held at Blackmore End Village Hall on Thursday, 16th September 2021 commencing at 7:30pm for the purpose of transacting the following business:

 

The meeting will be open to the public unless the Council directs otherwise.

 

AGENDA

  1. Apologies for Absence.

 

  1. To receive member’s declarations of interest and dispensations in items on the agenda.

Dispensations should be requested from the Clerk up to the day before the meeting.

 

  1. Minutes: Acceptance of the minutes from the Parish Council Meeting held on 8th of July 2021.

 

  1. Public participation session with respect to items on the agenda and other matters that are of mutual interest or local concern: A maximum of 15 minutes shall be allowed for public question time and it is requested each member of the public speak for a maximum of 3 minutes.

 

  1. Report from the Clerk: An update on matters arising from the last meeting together with any correspondence received. (Appendix I).

 

  1. To receive a report from the District and/or County Councillor.

 

  1. Planning: To consider and make comments to Braintree District Council on the following application/s:

  1. The Hub Group:
  2. To receive an update from the Hub group.
  3. To agree to conduct a parish survey.

 

  1. Wildlife Project: To agree a budget of up to £300 to develop the green on West Drive into a nature area. (Appendix II)

 

  1. Salt Bins:
  2. To agree the quantity of salt bins required and locations.
  3. To agree a salt bin supplier. (Appendix III)

 

  1. Neighbourhood Plan: To agree to produce a leaflet to gauge public interest.

 

  1. Grants: To consider a grant of £5000 for the Derek Flannery Playing Field Association towards the play equipment.

 

  1. Village Gates: To discuss the quantity of gates required and locations

 

  1. Welcome Pack: To agree to produce a welcome pack.

 

  1. Village Hall:
  2. To receive an update on the boiler repairs
  3. To agree a budget to purchase hanging baskets
  • To consider the use of the small hall

 

  1. Parish Ranger: To agree to purchase the tools for a budget of £435.77 + VAT (Appendix IV):

 

  1. Finance:
  2. To approve payments for signature. (Appendix V)
  3. To receive the budget monitoring report (Appendix VI)

 

  1. Items from Councillors to be added to the next Agenda.

 

  1. The Council will resolve to exclude the press and public from the remainder of the meeting due to confidential business (Public Bodies (Admissions to Meetings) Act 1960, S1(2)).

 

  1. Leases: To discuss the lease for the club.

 

  1. Next Parish Council Meeting: The next meeting of Wethersfield Parish Council will be held at Blackmore End Village Hall on Wednesday, 13th October 2021 commencing at 7.30pm.
